First Ever Sate of the Forum Address





Friend From
Time to time (read when ever I darn well Please :) I hope to have these
little Fireside Chats with you to keep you up to Date on Current Plans and Happenings behind
the Scenes here at www.everythingcadd.com
.





Recently I was
forced by economics to Come to you my Friends , and ask you tighten you belts
with mine. And I was over whelmed by the support offered by some of you Guy’s.
For A guy like me the amounts don’t matter as much as the idea that you Guys
Believe in me and our little home in Cyber Space enough to Give the Sweat of
your Brow and Reach in to you pockets to support this of ours.





As some of you
might know Our little Forum Was Born out of a Genuine Feeling of Oppression and
Censorship. And not the typical Censorship of Obscenities, that even now due to
the agreement with our Server host Must enforce, but Censorship of Ideas and
thoughts. Any how after a particularly Bad attack by a mod with a calculated
plan to rid another forum of what that mod saw as the Dregs of the Forum. And
after a long Chat with Architech via IM Chat, I made the comment that I didn’t
need that other place, and I aught t go out and Build my own forum. So that
same night I Pulled one of our sun Spac20 servers and loaded up PHPBB to show
it could be done, so the next day I sent Architech over to look, then latter
that day the Attacks escalated and Architech Made the bold and irreversible
choice to Let those in danger of attack from this insane Self Absorbed Mod,
know about the Beta Forum. And you guys stuck it out during my Leaning Curve
that finely brought us here. I promise you will all be rewarded for you
understanding and patience. Not only with a Technically Better forum, but the
spirit of Comradely and Family I am
trying to cultivate here!





While I
will not go in to Who Gave what and no donation is any more or less important
than any one else’s Donation I would like to Pay Special Recognition to some
members of our “FAMILY”, and how their Donations are mile stones on the road to
our lasting success





First is That Purple Ape, Grape Dude, who was the first to
step up. You really drive me bananas you BIG PURPLE APE





Next we come to Alan Cullen who not only donated his milk
money for the next few years, but Also give a lot of time and chatter to forum,
One of the Regulars we can always count on to have something to say ,
Seriously would this place be ½ as much fun if he ever left ?

JimiThing, Who had the honor of being
The first Registered member, and the guy that spent Countless hours helping me
test the code for the chat box. Making us THE ONLY CADD Forum with a Chat box
on the home page!




Let me make this
absolutely Nice and Crystal Clear a clear a unmuddied lake, if you hate life
and love the art of Technical Drafting
and illustration , and you feel the need to smoke cigarettes and drink coffee
till 4am Drawing in AutoCADD You belong here !








Then I’d Like to Send
a special Thanks to Architech who not only Gives a ton of his free time to help
me keep this going, and for making the Brave and bold decision to give up his
Comfortable position of power, to strike out and Try to do something new and
innovative! And not only did he believe in my little Pipe Dream enough to give his time, but He helped with a
substantial contribution that will Secure our Database for at least 6 months
and Give us Storage room to make File Uploading and hosting Possible I would
like to take this Opportunity to make some Architech Announcements if I may ,





LAST WEEK I CHANGED THE ADMIN PASSWORD, and Gave ARCHI
ADMINACCESS to the site, so when you see ADMIN it could be me or Archi. If it
looks Retarded then You can bet it me. I did this because when we started this
all Archi asked was to be a mod and I promised him there would only ever be one
mod besides me, and he was my man! Well Archi has put so much in to this effort
I thought it only fair that he is now a FULL PARTNER in this endeavor, so much
so he can even lock me out if he chose to (Maybe, I still wrote the code) Also
now Archi can look at all the accounting, providing checks and balances on how
your donations are being used. So you can be assured that none of it is being
misappropriated! This Place would truly not exist with out him, None of you
guys would have followed me here, I’m just basically a Monkey, A mechanic,
nothing more! Archi is the true leader and soul that binds this place together





I would like thank every one else here for your support and
participation too, in fact you might have noticed that I have given the first
20 members the rank of forum Pioneer, and that is exactly what you guys are
Pioneers in a new wilderness helping to explore new ground. And you will keep
those ranks forever you earned them.





I’d also like to address where the $$$ has been going .

Future Plans soon to this Thread, Just know I’m working every day to keep
expanding our home and what started as a bunch of “Drunk Talk” has become a
reality. When Archi and I were first BSing about this he thought making Drunk
statements , and nothing would come of it . ands when you guys said youd spend
your time and effort, and even $$$ to keep this going I thought you ALL were drunk but every one of you came though.
WE have a Great Core Group that make things happen. We Really are better
because we make thing Happen

And
if this sounds like more drunk ramblings, well it is, I’ve had a $125 bottle of
Glenmorangie hanging around since my B-Day and we got in to it tonight, and
it’s ½ empty


I'd also like to take a few lines to talk about our Mod Policies and how they effect you.! In an effort to remain unbiased and fair Architech and I do a VERY little Moderating of posts here, except for legal reasons, or Violations of the Prime Directives (NO PORN and NO CUSSING OUTSIDE THE SMOKING ROOM). as pat of the Original incentive Agreement I made with Architech, There will only be ONE MOD unless he comes to me and says he needs help! So I am counting on you guys to pitch in, and try to Censor your selves and show a little decorum! I am also Counting on you guys to Set the Standards for our community. The Amish have no need for a Civil Court or Law Enforcement. The community as a Whole is responsible for policing it's self , and while I am not advocating Wholesale Vigilantism . There are worse things then being banned from an internet forum, such as being shunned by the community. A loud mouth hates nothing more than being Ignored. ! now imagine a certin loudd mouth Coming here and being ignored
