Change text style

Post by vthi on Tue Dec 02, 2008 8:55 pm

Dear ECers,
Okay, I have to put aside C3D because we have to change a custom textstyle+font to match the primes in over 100 dwg files. Crying or Very sad scratch Mad
The existing text style is also in our dim styles and blocks w/ attributes. Changing the text is easy. Changing the dim style and blocks is not.
I know you guys have something up your respective sleeves (other than tattoes). cheers I would appreciate any input as to how I can automate this chore other than going through each file one by one.
Regards, Vivian

Sorry Viv...I've never had to do that before. I know this issue has been bought up many times, but because I was never interested, I never followed it to see what the answer was.

I have faith in the other troops to help you out.....

Hey mate....I love the tag Rick has given you......

lol! lol! lol!

If you check my lisp files, you should find one (changetext, or chtxt) it allows you to choose multiple strings of text, and you can change all of the properties from there. Never used it on dims, but you could give it a shot

Hi Alan, Hi jimi,

Thanks to both of you. Yup, I have my own tag! Smile I like it too. By the way, is everybody a mate? When do I get to be a sheila (sp?)?
I give your lisp a try jimi. I hope it works on dimstyles. Otherwiise we got a long week ahead of us. By the way, What a Face again!
I gotta find me an avatar. Just wait.
Thanks again and Regards, Vivian

Hi Jimi,
I'm missing something. I click on the link, I put in the code and I wait 45 seconds. Nada. Zip. Nothing. What am I missing? Maybe I should wait till it's later at night. Maybe not so busy then?
