Unresolved XREF are being PURGED
A guy from my company... needs help..
Just installed AutoCAD 2009 in the office and have noticed a problem with it. I have been sent drawings from an Architect but he has not sent all the xref's (only the one's i need). I need to update information onto these drawings and send them back. This worked fine on 2008 but on 2009 when i open the drawing it purges out all xrefs that it cannot find. It informs me of this in the command list at the bottom. This is very annoying as the xrefs have to be re-attached by the architect and the frozen layers / clips etc have to be redone. Has anyone else come across this? It's probably just a setting that needs changed. Any help appreciated

Sorry... 2009 is behaving just as previous versions in this respect here... I can imagine that being extremely annoying but I don't have a solution... is it happening as you load up the drawing?

Re: Unresolved XREF are being PURGED
I am finding the new xref palette is not as user friendly as it was in 2k6. I can't manipulate my xrefs as easily. Changing the saved path or relative path is not easy anymore. However...
You can use the "old school" xref manager by simply typing "Classicxref" on the command line.
Same goes for the layers manager box, "Classiclayer".
