Solid Works
Does/can anyone tell me what I would need to know in order to become proficient with solidworks. ie. If I know autocad and LDD would it make my transition easy? or is it something where I would have to actually go and take a course somewhere. It seems the only thing available around this area is in the mechanical field, and they all want solidworks

I hate to be discouraging, but I've worked on solid works a little, and Knowing Acad is a BIG Fat Negative to leaning solid works, it's like going from acad to inventor, a hugely different program!
